Okpebholo Committed To Improving The lives Of Edo People, Says NEC Committee
For a government that is barely two years old and has achieved so much, it shows that it is committed to improving the lives of Edo people.

The National Economic Council (NEC) Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) has commended Gov. Monday Okpebholo for his commitment to improving the lives of the people of the state.
The NEC/IMC team lead by, Mrs Busayo Awotunde, made the remark on Tuesday in Benin after being taken on an inspection tour of some legacy projects by the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Dr Elizabeth Ebosele.
According to Awotunde, saying i was impressed would be an understatement.
"For a government that is barely two years old and has achieved so much, it shows that it is committed to improving the lives of Edo people.
"We are going to report that the Edo government is committed to and aligned with efforts to improve the livelihoods of its people.
"Edo has invested resources and demonstrated commitment to ensuring that the objectives of the council's resolutions are being achieved," she said.
Earlier, Ebosele explained that the monitoring team was in Edo not to witch-hunt anyone but to assess the legacy projects undertaken by the Okpebholo administration in line with NEC resolutions.
She said the Ramat Park Flyover was conceived out of necessity, not only to decongest traffic but also to improve the ease of doing business in the state.
Sher revealed that the flyover is nearing completion and would be inaugurated soon.
"When completed, market women and other traders will be able to carry out their businesses more efficiently, thereby improving their economic activities.
"This economic empowerment was one of the key considerations of Governor Okpebholo when he assumed office.
"He immediately approved the construction of the flyover. The road connects to the federal highway linking Edo State to the northern part of the country," she said.
Also speaking, the Deputy Governor of Edo, Mr Dennis Idahosa, commended the monitoring team for concluding its three-day assessment visit to the state.
Idahosa said the legacy projects initiated by the governor were visible across the state.
He said that the governor was executing projects simultaneously across the state's three senatorial districts.
